“…instrumental group that foregoes math-y eccentricities in favor of atmospheric dynamics, rather like film soundtrack passages. It’s great, inspiring stuff.” – Creative Loafing Tampa
Christina and Kevin, guitarist and drummer, respectively, had been playing together for years before starting their band. Kevin lived in a loft over Ybor City, where he and his pals could get away with playing music, as loud as they wanted to, into the odd hours of the night. For someone like Christina, who bar tended till 3 a.m., that set up was convenient.
Later, when Kevin moved into a house, his roommate at the time wouldn’t let anyone play music inside. Can you guess where they played instead? The porch!
Eventually, friends, neighbors and people who just happened to be walking down the street started coming out to listen to their front porch jam sessions. The more they played, the tighter the music got. And once Chris joined with his viola, the music began transitioning from jams to structured jams, and finally, to songs (source).
